for the client. Missed visits, poor communication, rushed jobs, and that constant feeling of wondering whether someone was actually going to turn up.
We believed it could be done better.

Meet Jarrah – Founder, Mow Monster
Mow Monster was started by Jarrah, a West Auckland local who got fed up with unreliable lawn care and thought it could be done better.
After dealing with missed visits and poor communication himself, Jarrah decided to build a business focused on turning up when promised, being easy to deal with, and taking pride in the work.
He’s hands-on with the business and closely involved in how it runs day to day, making sure clients feel looked after and confident everything is being taken care of without needing to chase anyone.
Outside of work, Jarrah spends a lot of time outdoors with his wife Liv and their dogs, usually hiking, exploring, or working on renovation projects at home.
Fun fact: he also plays the bagpipes!
At the end of the day, Jarrah just likes things done properly and without fuss, and that’s exactly how Mow Monster is run.
Mow Monster is proudly supported behind the scenes by Jarrah’s wife, Liv, who helps with administration, organisation, and keeping everything running smoothly.
Liv’s attention to detail and care for people plays a big role in how the business operates — from clear communication to making sure clients feel looked after, not just serviced.
Together, Jarrah and Liv have built Mow Monster around values that matter to them personally: reliability, respect, and doing things properly the first time.
